June Sarpong OBE is a prominent British broadcaster, author, and diversity advocate whose career spans over two decades. Born in Newham, London, to Ghanaian parents, she began her media journey at Kiss 100 radio before becoming a presenter for MTV UK & Ireland. Her role on Channel 4's T4 solidified her status as a household name, where she interviewed notable figures, including then-Prime Minister Tony Blair in the special "When Tony Met June".​

Beyond broadcasting, Sarpong has been a formidable force in promoting diversity and inclusion. In 2019, she was appointed as the BBC's first Director of Creative Diversity, aiming to ensure the corporation's content reflects the diverse audiences it serves. She co-founded the Women: Inspiration & Enterprise (WIE) Network, an acclaimed conference featuring influential speakers like Melinda Gates and Arianna Huffington.​

As an author, Sarpong has penned several books addressing social issues, including "Diversify: Six Degrees of Integration," "The Power of Women," and "The Power of Privilege," where she explores systemic inequalities and advocates for inclusive practices.​
