Greg Rutherford MBE is world-famous track and field athlete. Specialising in long jump as one of the world’s greatest, Greg has now retired.

Always into sports, Greg played football, rugby and badminton as a teen. Before pursuing a career in athletics, Greg had trials for premiership football club Aston Villa

Throughout his successful career as an athlete, Greg represented Team GB at the Olympics, World and European Championships as well as England at the Commonwealth Games.

With a number of medals to his name, Greg won gold in the long jump event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2014 Commonwealth Games, 2014 and 2016 European Athletics Championships and 2015 World Athletic Championships.

Greg is the current British record holder for both indoor and outdoor long jump and is an Athlete Ambassador for the global sport for development charity, Right to Play

Now a regular on our TV screens, Greg took part in BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2016 and is now cheering on his friend, Chris Ramsey who is taking part in the current series. He was also crowned the winner of Celebrity Masterchef 2019, beating fellow contestant Vicky Pattison. Greg recently took part in Stand Up 2 Cancer UK charity show, Sink or Swim.

Greg is a regular user of Instagram documenting his home life as a father of two alongside his fiancee, Susie. As an avid gym-goer, Greg often shows what he gets up to in the gym as well as showing an interest in animals and wildlife.
