Fred Sirieix first appeared on national television as the match-making maître d'hôtel on Channel 4’s popular dating series First Dates. 

His starring role in the show arrived after a producer spotted Fred’s charisma in front of cameras while co-presenting BBC’s Michel Roux’s Service. 

Fred has always belonged front and centre. After briefly training as a chef in his native France, Fred decided that a role more central to customer interaction was his preference, and he landed front of house roles at some of London’s most lavish and luxurious restaurants.

By now, Fred had earned himself a reputation as one of the capital’s most prestigious experts in restaurant service and launched a service-themed board game as well as National Waiters Day in 2012. Fred has also established charities to help under-privileged individuals train and acquire employment in the service industry.

His acclaimed appearances on First Dates have won him presenting roles on several food shows, including Million Pound Menu, Remarkable Places to Eat and Step Up to the Plate. 

Fred uses his social media platforms to recommend and educate his fans on good wines in his popular Wednesday Wine Club posts. His humorous In Bed with Fred posts sees him engage playfully with his fiancée on light-hearted topics, including Fred’s current book or food of choice.
