Beginning his career as a stand up comic, Joel to fame for his regular role as D.C Sweeney in the hit show Skins. He has since gone from strength to strength in his career as an actor, TV presenter and comedian.

After participating in unthinkable jungle trials, Joel came second in the 2016 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, just behind Scarlett Moffatt, who took the crown as Queen of the Jungle.

His success in the jungle led to Joel becoming a co-host of the jungle after show, I’m A Celeb: Extra Camp, alongside Joe Swash and Scarlett Moffatt before Emily Atack and Adam Thomas joined in 2019.

Joel is a regular on ITV’s Celebrity Juice and recently began presenting the quiz show Hey Tracey. He is also the host of reality dating show Singletown alongside his I’m A Celeb: Extra Camp co-host, Emily Atack.

The co-host of his very own podcast alongside childhood best friend and fellow comedian, Steve Dunne, Joel talks all things music to his celebrity friends and guests. The podcast, Teenage Mixtape, consists of musical games and discussing the songs that helped get them through puberty and other stages of life, compiling a playlist of the guest’s favourite songs.

In 2019, Joel released a thirty minute stand-up comedy special for Netflix as part of global comedy event, Comedians of the World.

Joel also made it on the Sunday Times Bestseller list with his debut book, It’s Not Me, It’s Them: Confessions of a Hopeless Modern Romantic.

Documenting his days on Instagram, Joel posts images of his work as a TV presenter and comedian as well as the hilarious things he gets up to with friends and colleagues. Joel also shares photos of his home life and travels alongside his wife, Hannah.

More recently, Joel has been working as the host of ITV's newest talent show, The Masked Singer, alongside celebrity panellists Davina McCall, Jonathon Ross, Mo Gilligan and Rita Ora.
