Greg James is a well-known radio host for BBC Radio 1 Breakfast, and has become a recognised figure within pop culture and the broadcasting industry.

Having always had an interest in broadcasting and the radio, Greg presented several shows on the students’ union radio station. Rising to fame in 2007, he presented BBC R1’s Early Breakfast on Friday’s and in 2012, he took over from Scott Mills to host the drivetime show. In 2018, Greg switched shows with Nick Grimshaw, taking over Radio 1 Breakfast.

Greg is recognised for his sense of humour and hilarious features on his radio show. Also a regular on our TV screens, Greg has presented a number of shows including the coverage of music festivals including Glastonbury and Radio 1’s Big Weekend. He also hosted for the BRIT Awards in 2009 and 2010.

Greg’s talent doesn’t stop there as he is also a best-selling children’s author having co-wrote a book series titled Kid Normal. A huge cricket fan, Greg also hosts his own podcast, Tailenders alongside Jimmy Anderson and Felix White.

A regular user of social media, Greg uses Instagram to document his days outside of radio studio, sharing sweet snaps with his wife Bella, and their dog Barney. Greg also posts the behind the scenes of his work.
