Owen Farrell is a professional rugby union player and currently plays for Premiership Rugby team Saracens. He plays in the position of fly-half and occasionally, centre.
Lancashire lad Owen has also played international rugby since 2012 and has been the Captain of the England team since 2018. Owen is a part of the 2019 Rugby World Cup England Team.
Having previously played for the British and Irish Lions, he is considered as one of the best currently-active rugby union players in the world. This has been recognised on multiple occasions when Owen has been nominated for World Rugby Player of the Year in 2012, 2016 and 2017.
With a family of rugby players and sportsmen, Owen grew up surrounded by Rugby. His father, Andy Farrell, played both rugby union and rugby league for England.
Celebrating every point he scores by linking his index fingers together - Owen forms a 'JJ' salute in honour of Joining Jack, a charity dedicated to people suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He is now a patron for the charity, Duchenne UK.He often uses Instagram to post about his successes on the pitch, as well as documenting his interest in cars and the gym. Owen is also an ambassador for Investec.
