Grace Beverley

I don’t think I can even put into words how unbelievable 2019 has been and the places it has taken me 🥰 I started the year at university living in my lil room and spent the first 2 months writing a dissertation every 2 weeks… lol I had one company that had made a very good amount of money but honestly it had very little scope to scale I made a lot of youtube videos and had a whole lot of cognitive dissonance in some of my work and lifestyle habits regarding sustainability and ethics I ended the year with 3 new companies, combined sales now of $7.6m over the past 8, 7 and 3 months, hundreds of thousands of new customers, offices, teams and a very small imposter syndrome filled me. I was awarded NatWest’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for London (!!!) Oh, and @wearetala did it’s first ever £1m month yesterday. On the personal side I bought a beautiful home in london with every penny of my own money (@chezgrez), designed the hell out of some renovations, pulled each and every hair out of my pea head and now we’re on the home straight! 🏡 I climbed a 13,000ft active volcano to watch the next door active volcano erupt and I feel like that’s a very accurate representation of the rest of my year too 🌋 I gave a loving home to a very fluffy chicken nugget who makes me smile and leave the house when I usually spend weeks on end with my head down and pen in hand, cancelling everything until a project is done. He has lit up my life 🍗 I graduated Oxford with my honours degree that will magically become a masters degree in 3 years, and I’d bloody well hope so after 5 dissertations, 3 years of 5-10,000 words per week and taking 100% of my 3 year degree in 10 days 🤓 I’ve made friends, I’ve lost friends, I’ve realised a lot of my fatal flaws and I’ve decided to change a lot going into the 2020 work year, to become a better person, business owner and to combat the host of issues women in business face 🥵 All in all, its been a big hard year but by far the most rewarding and genuinely inconceivable of my life, and I cannot imagine what any other year could do to top it. But I guess we’ll find out because we just getting started 🤪 What are your resolutions?
