The memes are everywhere, everyone already has their favourite couple and offices are full of post-episode chat. Love Island 2018 is certainly in full swing! 

While everyone is getting to grips with the new contestants, At Influencer Matchmaker, we have taken a look back at some of the most successful islanders the show has spawned over the years. 

Kady McDermott

Kady McDermott is probably best-known for her on-screen screaming matches with then boyfriend and fellow Love Island contestant Scott Thomas. And, while her relationship with Scott didn’t stand the test of time, her social influence certainly did!

Kady has gone on to become one of the most memorable and successful islanders to grace the villa since her exit from the show in 2016. She is a prominent figure in the beauty industry having launched a hugely successful makeup brand, By Kady, which features highlighters, lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes and brushes to name but a few. 

Chris Hughes

Brands worked with: First Choice, Coral, McDonalds, Sainsbury’s, McVitie’s.

Forget his relationship with Olivia, it was his bromance with Kem Cetinay which had everyone falling in love with Chris Hughes. 

Everyone’s favourite cheeky chappie, Chris, has gone on to have great success in the media world having wracked up the followers, worked with multiple brands, appeared on numerous television shoes and has even released his own book Are you Bantering Me? in May 2018. 

It has also recently been announced that Chris, along with partner in crime, Kem, are set to have their own spin-off game show together, cementing their popularity in broadcasting. 

Olivia Buckland

Olivia Buckland was unlucky in love (island) until Alex Bowen entered the villa. Two years on and she and Alex are due to be married soon. And, as well as being part of one of the very few remaining couples in Love Island history, Olivia’s personal brand has withstood the test of time too.

She has become a popular choice for brands looking to work with a fashion, beauty and lifestyle influencer with her Instagram feed brimming with brand collaborations, fashion tips and snaps from her travels. 

As well as this, Olivia has broken into the broadcasting world as she has since featured on Say Yes to the Dress as well as deputising Ferne McCann on This Morning throughout the summer of 2017. It has also recently been announced that Olivia will host a brand-new television show this August called Second Chance Dresses and will see the star help women find pre-loved wedding dresses. The 22-part series will air on TLC this autumn.

Kem Cetinay

The second half of the Chris and Kem bromance love story, Kem is perhaps the most successful of all islanders as he not only boasts the most followers on Instagram but has also very much stayed at the forefront of the entertainment industry. 

Despite having only left the villa in July 2017, Kem was quickly snapped up by ITV for Dancing on Ice, where he glided his way to the semi-finals of the show. He has also taken part in a spin-off game of The Weakest Link for BBC Children In Need and presented Good Morning Britain. 

In-line with the launch of the 2018 season of Love Island, Kem was announced as the podcast host for Love Island: The Morning After where he shares his thoughts on the show so far. 

Alex Bowen

Series: 2

Brands worked with: boohooMAN, Gym King, Love Layla Designs, Mark Hill, The Big Dogs Vodka, Protein World. 

Set to marry his Love Island flame, Olivia Buckland, later this year, Alex Bowen has not only held on to his girl, but has also held onto the fame Love Island gave him. 

He is now a popular choice for fitness and fashion brands to collaborate with and in 2017 he launched a brand-new clothing range with men’s fashion brand, MVMNT. In February 2018 he launched his own Instagram fitness page which has already gained 38.1k followers and sees Alex post regular gym workout videos and fitness tips. 

He has also uses his personal Instagram platform to collaborate with worthy causes including CoppaFeel! to promote breast checks among men.
