Nelsandro Farmhouse, more commonly known as Sandro in the world of baking, is best known for reaching the final in the thirteenth series of Channel 4’s favourite baking reality show, The Great British Bake Off. Losing out on the crown to fellow contestant Syabira Yusoff, Sandro has since amassed an incredible social media following.

Born in Angola, Sandro and his family fled to the UK following the Angolan war, where they then settled in London. Growing up Sandro had always been into health and fitness, taking up boxing as well as having a background in ballet and breakdancing.

Following the tragic passing of his father, Sandro turned to baking as a form of therapy and escapism and soon found a passion for the activity, leading him to appear on the show.

After his success in the famous white tent, Sandro is now on a mission to spread not only positivity but share his passion for baking. Often running virtual baking classes for children with autism, Sandro shares his skills giving expert tips and tricks, as well as teaching the students about flavours from his Angolan heritage which they infuse in their creations.
