With less than a week left of Love Island 2018, many of the contestants are probably wondering what life is like once the cameras stop rolling. Following our recent work with 2016 islanders, Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen, we’re here to let them know.
Oliva Buckland (soon to be Bowen) and Alex Bowen met on the second series of Love Island in 2016. Two years later, the couple have been one of the show’s biggest success stories and are set to be married later this year. Whilst the couple have a dog together, live together and regularly jet off on holidays around the world, they certainly don’t live in each other’s pockets when it comes to their career.
As well as having her own makeup range with W7 Cosmetics, Olivia has worked with a number of other brands including the likes of Skin Republic, Cocoa Brown Tan and Missguided. Alex has also been a hit when it comes to brand partnerships and has endorsed brands such as Missguided, Boohoo and Circulr.co watches.
As well as this, the couple also have worked together on brand campaigns and most recently Influencer Matchmaker worked with them for Hotels.com on their #Stagflation campaign.
The #Stagflation campaigns aim was to highlight Hotels.com’s offering to their millennial audience, to get top tips from influencers on hen dos and stag do and explain why they should book through Hotels.com. With Oliva and Alex’s own hen and stag dos taking place earlier this year, we knew they would be perfect for this!
The couple headed to South Place Hotel in London and filmed a Mr and Mrs style video which would later be uploaded on their Instagram profiles, and the Hotels.com YouTube channel.
With a combined following of 3 million on Instagram, and their videos receiving over 350,000 views, this was the perfect marketing opportunity for Hotels.com as it exposed the brand to thousands of potential customers.
