Sue Cleaver is a British actress best known for portraying the role of Eileen Grimshaw on ITV’s iconic soap opera, Coronation Street. Having played the role since the year 2000, Sue has established herself as one of the longest-running soap opera actors in the UK.

Having studied at The Manchester Metropolitan School of Theatre, Sue made her first television appearance in an episode of the detective series A Touch of Frost. Her first recurring role came in the late 1990s, when she played Glenda in the Victoria Wood sitcom Dinnerladies, before entering the world of soap opera in 2000. 

Over the years, Sue has featured on the panellist comedy show Celebrity Juice twice, in 2012 and returning in 2016 as well as appearing on Through The Keyhole in 2015. 

Sue likes to get involved with charity work and is a patron for the children’s charity When You Wish Upon a Star, a charity who grant the wishes of children who have life threatening illnesses. 

Now, Sue is set to take on her biggest challenge yet, as she has been announced as being in this year’s line up of ITV’s favourite television show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! We are excited to see how Sue gets on facing Ant and Dec’s bushtucker trials, continuing to entertain the nation.
