Ron Hall will be making the journey to South Africa for this year’s winter series of Love Island, hopefully finding that special someone in his quest for love.

A financial advisor from Essex, Ron is supporting diverse groups as he is the first partially sighted contestant to enter the villa. Ron became blind in one eye when he was eight years old, after being kicked in the face during a football game.

Now, Ron views his injury as something positive, making him unique with one blue and one green eye, and is thankful that he escaped anything more serious.

Ron will bring a caring vibe to the villa, and has stated “I’m genuine, caring and I’m a nice person – which you don’t find these days.” He also wants to “make memories,” hoping for the experience of a lifetime.

With a villa full of singletons and drama just around the corner, we can’t wait to watch as Ron settles into villa life and blossoms as a reality TV star.
