About Nadiya Hussain...

Nadiya Hussain is a British-Bangladeshi TV show host and presenter, self-taught professional baker and author, and was crowned champion of the famous baking show The Great British Bake Off back in 2015. Since her stint in the famous white tent, Nadiya has gone on to have a very exciting career.

Nadiya’s sweet personality has made her loved and well-known by the public and has allowed her to amass an incredible following on Instagram. Nadiya now lives in Leeds with her husband and children and is currently studying at The Open University. 

Since her appearance on the famous baking show, Nadiya has had multiple television series released. Her first being back in 2016 and named “The Chronicles of Nadiya”. The second came a year later and was called “Nadiya’s British Food Adventure”. This show saw Nadiya go on a road trip around Britain in order to discover traditional and more quirky British dishes before recreating them back in her own kitchen. This television show was released in conjunction to her new cookbook under the same name. 

Nadiya then went on to host “Big Family Cooking showdown”, as well as “Nadiya’s Family Favourites”, which showcases Nadiya making tasty recipes for her close friends and family. In 2020, Nadiya started hosting “Nadiya’s American Adventure”, followed by “Nadiya’s Fast Flavours”, which is a program that looks at quick, simple, and cheap recipes for everyday life. 

Nadiya touches a lot on mental health as well. Releasing a one-off documentary called “Nadiya: Anxiety and Me”, she looked to find the cause of her anxiety, exploring the most effective treatments that were available to her. As well as this, Nadiya sat down for an hour-long conversation with Kate Garraway to talk about her struggles with both mental health and bullying.

Nadiya is also an author, with her children’s book “Bake Me A Story”, which offers recipes to encourage younger kids start baking and cooking. Nadiya has also written a novel, “The Secret Lives of the Amir Sisters”, is a Contributing Editor to BBC’s Good Food, and has a monthly column in The Times magazine. Her mouth-watering recipes have also featured in BBC’s Good Food magazine as well as The Sun on Sunday’s magazine, The Guardian, and The Telegraph – Nadiya's range of talents is truly mesmerising! 

One of Nadiya’s biggest achievements to date is when she was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2020 New Years Honours for her services towards broadcasting and the culinary arts. As such a respectable, high-achieving chef, Nadiya is a key influencer that has the ability to benefit any food and drink campaign.
