Boy George is an English singer, songwriter, DJ, fashion designer, mixed media artist, photographer and record producer. Best known for being the lead singer of the pop band Culture Club, Boy George has solidified himself as being a legend in the music industry.

Known for his soulful voice and his androgynous appearance, Boy George’s music is often classified as blue-eyed soul, influenced by rhythm and blues as well as Reggae. His unique look and style of fashion is admirable and is heavily inspired by glam rock pioneers David Bowie and Marc Bolan. 

Back in 2002, Boy George was voted in 46th position in a BBC poll of the 100 Greatest Britons which only reflected on his hard work and his likeable personality, being one of the favourites in the industry. 

In 2015, Boy George received an Ivor Novello Award from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors for Outstanding Services to British Music. He then went on to become a mentor on the singing talent show The Voice, sharing his musical knowledge and helping contestants reach their true musical potential! 

We will next see Boy George on our screens when he will be joining this year’s contestants in the jungle for I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! He will face lots of gruelling challenges filled with insects, snakes, and rats, and will have to adjust to the minimal way of camp life – including rice and beans!
