Five summer sips – by Fuss Free Flavours
Summer is finally here, meaning the BBQ invites are sure to be flooding in, so it’s time to grab some ingredients, dust off your cocktail making skills, and whizz up some treats.
Need a little inspiration first though?
No problem. Top food blogger and Influencer Matchmaker’ very own, Helen Best-Shaw also known as Fuss Free Flavours, has concocted five summery cocktails which will certainly impress guests at your next summer BBQ.
So, read below to get working on your cocktail menu…
1. Cucumber & Mint Martini – Serves 4
Nothing quite revitalises the taste buds more than cucumber and this ice cold Martini is the perfect tipple for in-between courses or to end a meal.
2. Spiced rhubarb and orange Prosecco cocktail – Serves 6
Prosecco has been the buzzword for summer in recent years with people everywhere crazy for the bubbles! This delicious rhubarb and orange Bellini is the perfect accompaniment to long, hot summer nights. It does however, require a little forward thinking as the syrup will need to chill in the fridge overnight.
3. Gin and Melon Slushie – Serves 2
My adult take on a slushie, this gin and melon icy concoction is perfect for when the sun is really beating down. This is another cocktail which needs a little pre-planning as the melon should be frozen to achieve ultimate flavour!
4. Elderflower and ginger wine cocktail – Serves 2
This is certainly a flavour combination that will make your guests look twice, but it just works. Plus, when served in tall Martini glasses nobody will know that it only took you a matter of seconds to make!
5. Wake Up Mary – Serves 2
After a long night sampling your cocktails, your guests are sure to be extremely thankful of this morning pick-me-up. This is my twist on everyone’s favourite hair of the dog tipple, bloody Mary, and everyone’s favourite morning cup of coffee.
